A Call of Christian Conscience: "We pledge to each other, and to our fellow believers, that no power on earth, be it cultural or political, will intimidate us into silence or acquiescence. It is our duty to proclaim the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in its fullness, both in season and out of season. May God help us not to fail in that duty."
We encourage you to read, sign and pass along the Manhattan Declaration. Read more about taking a principled stand on the sanctity of life, on marriage as defined as between one man and one woman as well as a pledge to uphold the preservation of religious liberty.....
Welcome!
Faith Facts is a non-denominational ministry focusing on Christian apologetics and theology. Apologetics is the use of reason and evidence to examine religion. To that end, Faith Facts submits the Bible and the person of Jesus to contemporary scholarship.
We invite the reader to examine critically his assumptions or pre-conceptions. We believe that we can demonstrate that nobody who is thoroughly informed rejects Christianity because of lack of evidence. When the facts are rationally considered, one can only reject Christianity due to some illusory desire to be autonomous—to somehow dodge moral accountability.
But we invite you to challenge the evidence we present!
In the search for spiritual meaning, it is crucial that our search lead us to objective truth—that is, truth that is true for everyone and is not a relative or subjective "truth." Christian apologetics—expressed in a different way, is the exploration of religion through scientific examination. We are convinced that this endeavor can lead us to proof not only of God's existence, but that the Christian religion is objectively and uniquely true.
Theologian Eugene Peterson notes that secularism destroys the two essentials of human fullness—intimacy and transcendence: "Intimacy: we want to experience human love and trust and joy. Transcendence: we want to experience divine love and trust and joy." Man alone among the animals is able to contemplate God.
Only true spirituality can fulfill man's transcendent needs. The antithesis—secularism—is a sham as it takes the absurd position that we come from nowhere, we go to nowhere, yet life somehow is filled with meaning in between.
