Boa, Kenneth & Moody, Larry, I'm Glad You Asked, Victor Books, P.O. Box 1825, Wheaton, IL 60189, 1982. Written for Christians to help them explain the basis for their faith, this is a well-presented book. We credit this book as an important source for this essay.

Bradley, Walter L., "More Than Just Theory: Scientific Evidence for the Existence of God," Christian Leadership Ministries, 330 N. Range Line Road, Carmel IN 46032, 1989. Phone (317) 844-9004. A fascinating video by a professor of mechanical engineering at Texas A&M.

Colson, Charles W. with Vaughn, Ellen Santilli, "Why I Believe In Christ," InterVarsity Press, P.O. Box 1400, Downers Grove, Illinois 60515, 1990. Available from Prison Fellowship, P.O. Box 17500, Washington, DC 20041-0500. Phone (703) 478-0100. This is a very short pamphlet, but filled with many intellectual arguments for God and Christianity. Also recommended is "Breakpoint" magazine. This publication consists of reprints of Colson's daily radio broadcasts. The pamphlet "Reasons for Faith" is from this source and is also recommended.

Craig, William Lane. Reasonable Faith, Crossway Books, 2008. Craig is the most philosophically gifted apologist of our time. He is known for destroying atheists in debates on college campuses. Note: This book is too deep for all but the most philosophically inclined.

D'Souza, Dinesh, What's So Great About Christianity?. Regnery Publishing, 2007. This book confronts head-on the vocal atheists of our day such as Hitchens, Dawkins, Harris, and Weinstein. D'Souza leaves these skeptics whimpering in the dust of intellectual honesty.

Geisler, Norman L. and Hoffman, Paul K. (editors), Why I Am a Christian: Leading Thinkers Explain Why They Believe, Baker Books, 2001. This is a series of inspiring essays from bright scholars proving that you don't have to leave your brains at the church door to be a Chrisitan. Very readable.

Geisler, Norman L. and Turek, Frank, I Don't Have Enough FAITH to be an ATHEIST. Crossway Books, Wheaton, Illinois, 2004. Who says there isn't enough evidence for God? This 400 page book lays it out. We gave this book to a Buddhist/Atheist who refused to read beyond the first chapter because interfered so much with his worldview.

Halverson, Dean C., general editor, The Compact Guide to World Religions, Bethany House Publishers, 11300 Hampshire Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55438, 1996. This book will help you answer whether Christianity is the only way to God.

Keller, Timothy, The Reason for God: Belief in an Age of Skepticism. Dutton, 2008. This is a great book for the upwardly mobile person who likes to think things through. It appeals to one's heart as well as his mind. It has become our favorite book to give to people. Here is a trailer for the book: Reason.

Kennedy is one of the most learned theologians to help any seeker explore the facts of the historic Christian faith.

Knechtle, Cliffe, Give Me An Answer That Satisfies My Heart & My Mind, InterVarsity Press, Downers Grove, Illinois 60515. Cliffe gives answers to 41 most asked questions. See his web site Answer.

Lewis, C. S., Mere Christianity, Collier Books, Macmillan Publishing Company, 100K Brown Street, Riverside, NJ 08370. While some theologians disagree with aspects of his theology, Lewis' book may be especially helpful to the atheist. He discusses how he intellectually worked through his atheism leading him to give it up. Charles Colson attributes this book to overcoming his intellectual objections to Christianity.

Little, Paul, Know Why You Believe, InterVarsity Press, Downers Grove, IL 60515, 1988. Also Little's companion book, Know What You Believe, Victor Books, P.O. Box 1825, Wheaton, IL 60189, 1987. Box 1576, San Bernadino, CA 92402, 1979, 1993. If you're under the impression that Christianity has no basis in rational evidence then get these books. Very detailed reference works. Not as easy reading as the other books on this list, but are considered classics of Christian apologetics.

Sproul, R. C., Reason to Believe, Zondervan Publishing House, 1978. Also, Sproul's video series "Objections Answered" and "Defending Your Faith" available from Ligonier Ministries, P. O.
